Internship Experiences (2016, 2019, 2024)
Hello Reader,
I would like to share the highlights of my professional journey through three internships that have significantly shaped my career path. Due to the educational path I took, I had the opportunity to experience three internships: two with Procter & Gamble (P&G) and one with Zuellig Pharma. Here’s a brief overview of each experience, with more details to come in future posts.
Internship 1: Procter & Gamble (2016)
My first internship was at the Tuas Perfumery Plant of Procter & Gamble in 2016. This opportunity came while I was pursuing my NITEC course in Chemical Process Technology. At P&G, I gained hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, working alongside industry professionals. This internship was pivotal in developing my understanding of chemical processes and quality control, setting a strong foundation for my future studies and career.
Internship 2: Procter & Gamble (2019)
In 2019, I returned to Procter & Gamble for my second internship, this time at their Innovation Centre. By then, I was specializing in Applied Chemistry during my polytechnic years. This internship allowed me to delve deeper into research and development, contributing to innovative projects and enhancing my problem-solving skills. The exposure to rigorous industry-standard testing and a different corporate environment allowed me to better appreciate what was learned.
Internship 3: Zuellig Pharma (2024)
Most recently, in 2024, I had the opportunity to intern with Zuellig Pharma Specialty Solutions Group (ZPSSG). This experience was part of my degree program at Curtin Singapore. At Zuellig Pharma, I gained valuable insights into the pharmaceutical supply chain, being exposed to how the program team liaises with warehouse, production, and forwarders to make healthcare more accessible. This internship provided a snippet into the intricacies of a supply chain, especially since ZPSSG operates within the warehousing and distribution section.
Looking Forward
These internships have been integral to my professional development and exposure to the corporate environment, providing me with diverse experiences and solidifying my career aspirations within the supply chain operations track.
In upcoming posts, I will delve into each internship in greater detail, sharing specific projects, challenges, and the lessons learned.
Additionally, I will include sharings on my extracurricular activities.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Stay tuned for more insights and stories from my professional experiences.
